Full time architectural assistant between years 3 and 4 of the undergraduate architecture course. Projects worked on were manly affordable housing for local housing associations across central Scotland. Experience gained at this practice touched on all RIBA plan of work stages. Particularly focusing on planning applications and planning procedures, building warrant stages one and stage two, and billing schedules. Working in a team with other architectural assistants and architects for the successful outcome of a housing competition proposal. Attending meetings with the client to discuss proposals, progress and/or complications of projects. Ability to work confidently in a team and comfort of being self critical.

Responsibilities at this design firm included conceptual analysis and market research in response to client briefs and meetings. Creating digital models for client presentation and working towards a design solution with the client. Creating orthographic 3D representation with sketchup and autocad. Projects mostly worked on at this practice involved shopping malls, nature resorts and landscaping proposals across eastern China, particularly in Fuzhou and Weifang.
